چکیده
The present paper describes fuzzy logic simulation of an experimental study on the behavior of hot corrosion in molten salt (Na2SO4) of steel-T21 coated by simultaneous yttrium-doped aluminizing-siliconizingprocess . Diffusion coating was carried out at 1050C for 6 hr under Aratmosphere . The weight change measurements made on the coated steel during the cyclic tests are used to determine kinetics of hot corrosion at temperature range (800-1000C) for 100 hr at 5 hrcycle .X-ray diffraction and optical microscope are used to characterize the oxide phases where the oxide phases that formed on coated system are SiO2 and Al2O3 .The parabolic rate constants (Kp) calculated show that the corrosion rate is minimum at 800C compared to other temperatures. The experimental results, the fuzzy logic model, and the statistical results showed good correlations. The fuzzy logicmodels are developed using Matlab toolbox functions.

In this paper a functional graded material (FGM) thermal barrier coating (TBC) is prepared using Atmospheric Plasma Spraying (APS) method. The FGM layers were deposited by varying the feeding ratio of CYSZ/NiCrAlY and conventional CYSZ on a NiCrALY-coated Inconel 738 substrates. Hot corrosion behavior, bonding strength and the related failure mechanisms of a conventional TBC and a FGM TBC are i...
متن کاملEFFECT OF HIGH TEMPERATURE OXIDATION ON THE CORROSION BEHAVIOR OF ALUMINIZED LOW CARBON STEEL IN MOLTEN ALUMINUM
Hot dip aluminizing was carried out on the low carbon steel rod under optimized conditions. The aluminized samples were further oxidized at 1000̊C in air atmosphere at two different times of 20 and 60 minutes. Microstructure study and phase analysis were studied by scanning electron microscopy and X-ray diffraction methods, respectively. The characterization of the coating showed that, Fe2...

The high temperature corrosion behavior of sputtered nanocrystalline K38 coating with and without yttrium addition under mixed molten salt film in air was investigated. Accelerated corrosion occurred on the coating without yttrium (Y) addition locally after 60 h exposure at 900 °C, which resulted in negative weight gain in kinetics. A uniform and protective alumina scale formed on surface of th...

Corrosion tests of 316L and two intermetallic compounds Fe3AI and FeCrSi in industrial Galvanizing (Zn-0.18Al), GALFAN (Zn-5AI), GALVALUME (Zn-55AI), and Aluminizing (AI-8Si) baths and lab-scale static baths were conducted. In on-line tests in industrial hot-dip baths, 316L steel shows better corrosion resistance than Fe3AI in Galvanizing, GALFAN, and GALVALUME baths. The corrosion resistance o...
